IFM Infomaster is a software engineering company founded in 1994. IFM is specialized in designing, developing and implementing systems for telecommunications and ICT convergence.
With over 900 installations, today IFM is one of the most dynamic companies on the Italian ICT market. IFM provides a wide range of solutions for VoIP communications, CRM, active video-surveillance and geographic information systems (GIS).
Telecom Italia S.p.A., Innovest S.p.A. and Carisma S.p.A. hold 12%, 18% and 2% respectively.
From the beginning IFM has always distinguished itself for its commitment to research and development of advanced communications technologies. IFM is supported by important on-going collaboration projects and synergies with the Engineering Departments of the Universities of Genoa and Catania. This commitment has enabled IFM to become one of the few Italian-owned companies able to develop fundamental hardware and software technologies.
One of the most important successes of the company was the creation of the Lighthouse platform, an innovative technology that makes it possible to develop advanced solutions for communications management regardless of the media and transmission protocol. This has enabled IFM to take full control and hold intellectual property rights over the entire technology chain used in its systems, thus releasing the company from any technological restraints imposed by third-party manufacturers and service providers.
